Third year student athlete and Division I goalkeeper for UNC Asheville since Fall 2023, majoring in atmospheric sciences with a concentration in forecasting and minoring in mathematics. Most recent employment with NCICS/NOAA, evaluating Marine-Air Temperature data and creating gridded spatial analysis. Worked with Noreaster Nick, a local meteorologist, as a summer internship/co-op for 2023. Taught how to forecast and better understand weather patterns. At previous school, Drexel University, was a recipient of the STAR (Students Tackling Advanced Research) Program, of which only around 50 were accepted from the first-year class at the university. Also selected for the Frances Velay Fellows Program where only 12 STAR students were accepted; goal to help young women in STEM. Researched soil samples from Monterey Beach, CA to observe if the state's coastal restoration efforts are beneficial at The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Representative of Drexel in CAA SAAC (Conference of Drexel, Colonial Athletic Association, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and chair member and events coordinator of Drexel SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee). Main goal of continuing education at the graduate level in meteorology, specifically severe weather. Interest is research in meteorology and/or environmental sciences, with concentrations in forecasting and severe weather, specifically hurricanes.
