Every day, I’m driven by a desire to make a difference in my clients’ lives and take one less concern off of their shoulders, rooted in more than 30 years of experience in service-oriented professions — first, in the nonprofit sector, and now in the financial planning world. I’m continually fascinated by the way money shapes every aspect of our lives yet it’s such a difficult topic to discuss, even with our close friends, family members and relatives. At The Humphreys Group, our mission is to change that mindset, dispel our clients’ fears and help them feel more confident and secure about their financial future. In particular, I work closely with women investors and strive to demystify their finances and help them solve problems to achieve their goals. I often find that my clients are engaged, self-reflective and interested in making choices for themselves, especially when it comes to both financial and retirement planning. Money can have a critical impact on a woman’s security, self-worth and independence, so I focus on helping my clients understand their choices and frame their financial plan around their values and priorities. For me, it’s important to show people that money is a tool they can learn to manage, so I provide my clients with clear, impactful information they can use to facilitate their financial decisions. In my opinion, financial planning shouldn’t be complicated. I’m committed to building real, long-term relationships with my clients, and my top priority is to make recommendations based on what matters most to their lives. I’m a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and hold a Master of Nonprofit Administration (M.N.A.) degree from the University of San Francisco, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in International Agricultural Development from the University of California–Davis.
