Combined my backgrounds in engineering and architecture, to co-design the ETH Week programme that gives students the chance to follow a collaborative design process across disciplinary boundaries. It brings together up to 200 Bachelor’s and Master's students every year. They come from all study programmes within ETH Zürich, a technical university in Switzerland. Each edition addresses a major societal topic, providing students with the opportunity to engage with real-world problems and to find solutions by pursuing their own interests, such as sustainable development, innovation, design thinking, or interdisciplinary learning.Key responsibilities:• concept design of the programme bringing together ideas from different disciplines• engagement across the university, involving 50 internal/external partners each year• project management and organisation of the programme with a budget of 25.000 CHF/day• on-the-ground preparation for and running a fast-paced 6-day conference-type • design of innovative workbook that disseminates knowledge to the 200 students and tutors• published concept, implementation and findings of the initial four years in book publication

Part of the rotating editorial team of the trans magazine, a journal of multiple cross-disciplinary perspectives on architectural and urban issues. After participating in the ETHiopia Urban Laboratory Summer School on sustainable housing for the World's Poorest, I got involved in organizing and tutoring the following four summer school editions on the following topics in relation to sustainability: waste and life cycle analysis (2011), world food system (2012), urban grammars and sustainable cities (2013) at the Future Cities Lab in Singapore, technology and public health (2014).Key responsibilities: • tutoring of case study work with 10-15 students• prepared and edited the documentation and evaluation of the course • provided logistical, organizational, and administrative support • also, design and layout the first sustainability annual report along GRI guidelines

Research in the field of digital color photography and image processing with the goal to explore novel camera architectures. Explored the potential of the extra data captured by camera sensors, usually discarded because outside the visible range. Decided to shift my interests to the intersection of computer science and the built environment. Therefore left the doctoral school to study architecture (2009-2015) in addition to my first degree in computer science so that I can pursue an interdisciplinary career in both fields.Key responsibilities:• produced an algorithm with state-of-the-art results• IEEE ICIP’09 conference article published, over 180 citations• expanded on initial work, writing a research proposal • passed candidacy exam and all required doctoral courses
