I am a passionate advocate for social inclusion, equity, and social justice, dedicated to creating a more inclusive and fair society. With a strong belief in the power of connection and meaning, I strive to make a positive impact in my community.In my role as Cricket Manager - Newcastle I aim to support our clubs, volunteers, and players and create opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. I am motivated to use my advocacy skills and expertise in system and process improvement to foster growth, participation, and engagement in community cricket in the Newcastle region.With an unwavering commitment to social justice, I seek to break down barriers and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, has access to the benefits and joys of community sport. I recognise that sport, and specifically, cricket, can be a unifying force, bringing people together and fostering a sense of community pride.My desire to make a positive impact on individuals and communities has led me to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work, and I am currently enrolled at the University of New England, Armidale where I am a part-time online student, and have shared my love of all things Social Work with my fellow students by facilitating Peer Assisted Study Sessions.In my time as a Learning Support Assistant, I valued the opportunity to foster strong connections with students and focused on building trust and rapport by creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I thoroughly enjoyed nurturing meaningful relationships with students, enabling them to thrive academically and personally and fostering their self-esteem and a sense of belonging.I started my career in application support analysis and with 15 years' experience have a proven track record of leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify effective solutions for business and system processes. My ability to navigate complex systems and grasp intricate processes consistently resulted in improved efficiency and streamlined operations for the business areas I worked with. My strong interpersonal and communication skills allowed me to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, management, and end-users. My ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language facilitated seamless support interactions and empowered me to provide comprehensive training and documentation for system users. My professional accomplishments include successfully implementing and managing several application support projects from inception to completion.
