As the GIS intern for the city, I am experienced at using Esri products for a multitude of projects including digitizing aerial images, performing geostatistical analyses, and working with large databases. I am also experienced in using GIS in the field through programs like Collector and Field Maps.

As student researcher I have an accumulation of field, lab, and computation skills. I have spent two summers collecting samples, drawing field maps, and processing samples. In the lab we do chemical cleansing, magnetic separation, and pick individual grains by hand. I have also contributed to the project by using ArcGIS to create maps and log metadata

This position was field and lab work dominated and worked out of a local Jurassic quarry.

Everglades National Park

This position required knowledge of the canals at Everglades National Park as well as the Florida Bay. I was experienced in the history, environment, and wildlife of the everglades and enjoyed sharing this information with guests at the park every day during boat tours back into the mangroves. I also helped manage the boats during the tours and back in the marina.

Working with ACMNP taught me a lot about people, leadership, and how to put Christ at the center of a workplace. We would plan weekly services and host small Bible Studies for workers within the park.
