Growing up I used to dismantle every toy that was bought by my parents in a futile attempt to understand how and why they function the way they do and rebuild them to their full capabilities. Just like everything in life, I failed at some and I also succeeded most. The fact that I destroyed most of my toys did not stop me from trying, rather, I approached my next “project” with lessons from my failed “project” to ensure success. Starting my career in UX/UI design seemed like a discrepancy at first given my history in Social Work. However, just like my failed attempts at disassemble and fixing things, I immediately recognized the opportunity it presented, to understand the most important asset of any industry; the people, the customer, the user. I was privileged to harness diverse views and opinions to create solutions that work. Now looking back, I realized I was blessed when I attended my first UX design course and saw the need to combine my knowledge of people and systems with my desire of problem-solving. I enjoy applying human-centered design to create innovative solutions and business models geared towards growth.
