I started at KHQA in Quincy as a week day reporter and producer and weekend weather anchor. I was promoted to morning show live reporter after a year, and then to morning anchor a year after that. At KHQA, I pitched stories, interviewed subjects, shot video, wrote stories, and edited video. I would then present that story live during the newscast. I was in charge of setting up interviews for our morning show, being up to date on current events, and presenting them in a way the viewer would understand.
