Together, we’ve developed innovative design calculators used by thousands of engineers for almost 10 million calculations. Additionally, I manage daily corporate operations as the Secretary-Treasurer for our Canadian subsidiary.

Boucherville, Quebec, Canada

I perform the structural analysis and design of our design-build bridges made of aluminum. These bridges are used throughout North America in a variety of applications including large scale infrastructure, parks, industrial environments and military. The use of aluminum allows lighter-weight, more versatile and far more durable structures than their steel.

Waterloo, Ontario

• Researched the behaviour of aluminum compression members subject to local buckling
• Performed analyses using various international design codes and finite element analysis
• Ran laboratory experiments to confirm the results from analysis and to determine the most accurate aluminium design code
• Presented results at the Canadian Society for Civil Engineers (CSCE)'s 2018 conference in Fredericton, and won award for best student paper in the structural category.

Orlando, Florida Area

• Part of the Orlando Diagnostics Group for Summer 2016 and Winter 2017.
• Field assessment of various structures using various destructive and non-destructive methods
• Load checks and design of steel and concrete structures per historical and current codes
• Preparation of construction documents (specifications and drawings) for restoration projects.
• Site visits to ongoing projects for contract administration and coordination.
• Occasional help with the new structures group for preliminary design and shop drawing review on large-scale projects

Ottawa

• Assigned to the Macdonald-Cartier interprovincial bridge refection project as part of the contract administration team in a consortium with CIMA+
• Maintained precise daily reports of all activities on the 50+ worker site by frequent discussions with subcontractors
• Inspected and performed quantity take-offs on items such as concrete demolition and reconstruction

Vancouver, BC

• Performed a variety of engineering and legal surveys and associated support functions relating to location, construction and land tenure of BC Hydro facilitieso Monitored settlement of earth dams and slopes as part of.
• Participated in intensive safety training, responded to accidents in the field and completed associated incident reports
• Drafted and processed data from surveys and external sources using AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Completed administrative duties such as expense report submittal and time entry using the SAP software

Sarnia, Ontario

• Assisted with the constant maintenance of over 1 000 aids to navigation and communications towers using the IBM Maximo asset management system
• Analyzed basic strength of beams and welds using CSA S157 – Strength Design in Aluminum
• Created and updated technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Represented the Canadian Coast Guard on construction sites as a field supervisor
• Prepared tender packages and requests for quotations concerning renovations and upgrades to existing sites
