Worked with leading development economist Dr. Yaw Nyarko, to manage three research institutes, the Development Research Institute (DRI co-led by Prof. Bill Easterly), Africa House, and the Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED), at NYU in New York City, Abu Dhabi, Accra, and Addis Ababa. Directed various multi-year research projects across six impact areas: financial access, food and water, healthcare, energy, education, and agriculture market development. Managed staff and PhD students across four countries and three continents to implement programs that combine economic principles and technology to develop innovative solutions to problems facing the developing world.Directed legal, financial, administrative, and operational activities, including recruitment and contracts, financial oversight and budgeting, fundraising, University's Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals to conduct research with Human Subjects, strategic planning and human resource policies.Featured Projects:-- Conducted research on trends/developments in commodities exchanges in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana and Nigeria (GCX, ECX, EAX).-- Research evaluating ESOKOs mobile price alert systems used by rural small-holder farmers in the Volta Region and Afram Plains, Ghana.-- Worked with Ghanaian architects to manage the design and building of a rural Town Hall research center, located in the agricultural area of the Kumawu Afram Plains. This center is devoted to the advancement of knowledge that improves the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and rural households.-- Management support for field deployment of beta CTED Market Information System apps in rural agricultural communities in Ghana
