Oversee the internal functions of TK Building & Design, including but not limited to Strategic Planning, Operations, Human Resources, Accounting & Budgeting, Office Management, and Insurances.

Established the first Human Resources Department for a 40-year-old, family-owned Company that now has four locations and employees spread around the country. Created and updated policies and procedures while also concentrating on culture and succession planning all while managing the talent of a Company that grew by over 65% to 200 employees from July 2019 to July 2023. Assisted in moving 50% of the team to permanent remote work. Reworked and negotiated benefits by creating two healthcare plan choices, switching ancillary providers, which saved the company significantly, and reworked PTO benefits. Improved the HRIS / ATS platform and implemented the LMS. Started and certified the Safety Committee. As part of the Executive Team strategically helped plan the future of the Company. Overseeing the HR team, I was responsible for the Company’s recruiting and hiring, mentoring, mediating, training, payroll, benefit administration and application, leave management, COBRA, and unemployment. The Penn Vet Team works onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid setting.

Established a Human Resources Department creating policies and procedures while the company grew by over 60% to nearly 100 employees. Collaborated with Marketing Manager in creating Company Vision and Mission Statements along with Core Values and initiating culture change. Successfully kept health insurance increases at a minimum (between 0 - >5%) and certified the Company Safety Committee. Summary of duties: Recruiting and hiring, payroll, benefit application, compensation, mentoring and mediating, FMLA, COBRA, unemployment and workers’ compensation, Safety Committee. Was also Assistant Controller until 2016.

- Conducted daily account procedures including accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as occasional general ledger responsibilities- Managed Human Resources including but not limited to payroll administration, second interviews, benefit application, FMLA, COBRA, unemployment and workers’ compensation- Maintained membership information and related customer service- Promoted from Accounting Assistant in February 2009.- Streamlined department from one and one half positions to one position while adding HR responsibilities (in 35 hours/week).
