Starting from the warehouse, receiving material and learning how to identify fasteners grew into a passion for learning. I jumped straight into a sales role following a move to the Twin cities area of MN for a large industrial distributor that was a consistent opportunity for learning new applications. I learned about basic welding, plumbing, pipe threads, and so much more. I wanted to grow and learn about every product line they carried and explored every sales related training opportunity available to me. I was afforded traveling opportunities and celebrated for big wins in my business portfolio. I spent a decade with this company and learned so much, and made the switch to electrical distribution. I learned about lighting, wiring, and all the different cable management solutions there are. Discovered the difference between low voltage and high voltage, and all the terminations available for all. Put my knowledge about tools from previous role into action and sold hand tool kits to training programs and union trade schools across the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. I would definitively say I have taken supply chain sales from birth to death by recognizing the need for solutions, obtaining/providing said solution from quote to invoice. I recognized that I knew how to obtain material and which supplier was the better option in both industrial and electrical supllies. I branched into a purchasing role and developed my skills of price shopping and deal making. I learned about fire safety and alarm supplies, and developed vendor relationships to work together seamlessly. Now I'm working with managing materials necessary for production from raw material to finished goods and exploring supply chain further with import goods.
