As senior software engineer in ABOR, I worked as part of an agile scrum team, building FinTech solutions that support SimCorp clients to always be up-to-date with the latest requirements for financial reporting, instrument pricing and comply with the newest regulations and accounting standards. In my PhD project "Optimal control of PDE-constrained systems", I worked on problems related to mathematical optimization, where I specialized in analysis, design and implementation of numerical algorithms that form the computational foundation of model-based and data-driven decision-making tools such as optimization-based risk management, machine learning, optimal control and cyber-physical systems. In addition to a strong academic profile, my work as a PhD candidate has given me • Solid programming skills in MATLAB, Python and C++.• Experience with mathematical tools for simulation, optimization, statistical analysis, data handling and visualization including pandas, scikit-learn and R.• Experience with developing algorithms for large-scale applications by combining elements of high-performance computing with iterative solution strategies.• Strong communication skills based on teaching classes and numerous oral/poster presentations at international conferences and seminars.
