Honorably discharged US Marine, Bartender and facilities manager, Electrical and Manufacturing engineer, value stream manager, and currently a program manager. I have been challenged to learn a diverse range of skills, presented many challenges, and have had the opportunity to be mentored by a lot of great leaders while in each of these roles. The best all had a few common traits, decision making under pressure,the ability to communicate a focused message to a team to achieve a needed result, and empathy for others. A real passion for team unity and achievement. I hope to have learned a little good from each, and hope I can mentor teams as well as them.I am currently the P&W GTF US East Program Manager for GKN Aerospace, where I am lucky to foster a relationship with our partner P&W for the GTF engine line. I drive risk management, delivery assurance, and assist in project management and long term planning as needed. I bring experience in LEAN, zero defects, six sigma, and a deep engineering background to assist and guide teams in good problem solving techniques.The US East GKN cluster is focused on developing the infrastructure to drive a high volume project to Industry 4.0. We are working to design and build a virtual and collaborative environment allowing the interaction of people, equipment, and data. We are focused on building high performance work centers aimed at delivery high quality components to the customer on time.
