> Manages the technical review and approval of Transmission Customer’s Facilities Study reportby providing inputs and recommendations on the connection requirements in order to secureconnection to the Grid system and comply with Philippine Grid Code and Grid Connection Requirements under Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) Law.> Oversees the preparation of detailed project components of substation and transmission lineprojects for ERC application during the planning stage that includes substation and transmissionline electromechanical equipment and materials, structural/civil/architectural works, protection,control, and communication components.> Manages Engineering Design Standards, Procedures, Guidelines, Philosophies, Policy, IMS Procedure, by identifying and updating new and existing documents to adopt the current needs and comply with the International Standards (ANSI and IEC), Philippine Grid Code, Philippine Electrical Code I and II, Regulatory Commission and Corporate IMS policy.

> Spearheaded the preparation of preliminary design and detailed Relay Protection and Control Design for the project implementation of new/upgrading substation and transmission line projects. > Supervises preparation of equipment technical specifications, technical data sheets, bill ofmaterials, production of bidding and construction drawings of high voltage substation andtransmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV voltage level.> Reviews Facilities Study submitted by generation and load transmission customers andrecommends technical solutions on the connection requirements in order to connect to the Gridsystem in accordance with Philippine Grid Code and Grid Connection Requirements.

> Establishes protection and control design criteria and standards as guidelines for the implementation of power substation and transmission development projects including revamping and upgrading of existing substation protection and control system.> Conducts site investigation, coordination meetings and other design-related activities on various stages of the project implementation and collaborates with the Section Head to assess technical problems on the implementation and/or operation and recommends solutions to such problems.> Reviews and evaluates pre-construction data as input to engineering design work activities to ensure project implementation based on sound engineering practices and conforming to regulatory requirements, codes, and standards and undertakes definite protection and control design and detailed engineering activities/aspects of the project in consideration of optimal loading of facilities.> Prepares technical specifications, technical data sheets, quantity estimates, and bid and construction drawings for tendering purposes.> Evaluate and checks protection and control scheme, drawings, design reports, technical provisions, plans, and other documents submitted by contractors, manufacturers, and project proponents in accordance with the tender documents.> Prepares design memoranda, plans, specifications, tender documents, reports and other official correspondence pertaining to the engineering design of various power substation and transmission development projects.> Collaborates and coordinates with other Engineering Groups, Operations & Maintenance and System Operations to harmonize the design of all aspects of a power substation and transmission development projects.> Participates in the testing and commissioning works for the protection and control equipment for various engineering projects.

Undertakes the detail design activities, i.e. Design criteria, Single Line Diagram, station layout, grounding system, lighting system, conduit and cable tray system, bill of materials, technical data sheets, specifications of high voltage equipment and production of construction drawings of various substation projects assigned. Substation projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV voltage level substations i.e. conventional or Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation.> Team lead in the preparation of the bid documents for Substation projects and liases with other groups to ensure the full scope is covered.> Conducts the review of design documents, manufacturer's/contractors drawing submitted for review and approval.> Undertakes the evaluation of design options to achieve the best possible balance between cost and design option.> Conducts actual inspection of sites and collaborates with supervisors in assessing technical problems during the construction phases of the project.> Participates in the substation site selection and makes recommendation in consideration of constructability, technical and economic aspect.> Provide assistance to Procurement group and to other technical group like system operation and operations & maintenance by acting as a design resource person which provide substation design expertise.>Team lead in the preparation of conceptual design of projects to be filed in the energy regulatory for review and approval.

Responsible for the preparation of electrical design of substations, switchgears and electrical panel boards assuring compliance with the existing local engineering regulations, safety requirements and with the required specifications in particular:> Design electrical distribution, HV, MV substations, switchgears and control panels and electrical system of commercial and industrial facilities.>Prepare electrical drawings and diagrams such as SLD, substation switchgear, panel layouts and control schematic drawings.>Assist the Sales/Marketing Group in the preparation of cost estimates for tenders/inquiries, layout drawings and tender document submittals.>Prepares the bill of Materials of assigned projects and the Purchase Requisitions of materials and components required for the projects and orders assigned.>Assist in the testing and commissioning of equipment and devices.

An intensive program that consists of on-the-job experience, technical and management skills training and coaching. The program combines responsible and important job assignments at the different sites and facilities with practical studies.
