About Lillian Hiraoka

I am a driven Chemistry student at the University of California, Berkeley who is currently pursuing a career in research that is focused on biochemistry and chemical biology. I am also very passionate about music (both performance and musicology). I grew up surrounded by a multicultural and diverse family of individuals who have inspired me to foster my passion for science while supporting my innate love for music. Through my research and teaching, musical experiences, and various opportunities, I continually strive to improve, challenge, and dedicate myself to advancing both scientific and musical knowledge. I am eager to ultimately intertwine the realms of science and art together and discover their intricate connections with ourselves through hands-on research and scientific communication.
