My research interest is developing single-cell Raman/surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy coupled with stable isotope probing, single-cell sorting and sequencing for investigating environmental and clinical microorganisms, including antibiotic resistant bacteria, functional bacteria driving N and P biogeochemical cycling, biofilms (biofouling), microplastics, nanotoxicity. Dr. Li Cui received a B.S. in Chemistry in 2002 from Xiamen University, China. In 2008, she received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Xiamen University, China where she studied surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and related applications in electrochemistry. She joined Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, and was appointed Professor in 2019. She has been a visiting scholar of Oxford University, Lancaster University in UK and Bern University in Switzerland. She has coauthored more than 40 papers published in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nat Protoc, Anal. Chem (8)., Water Res., et al.
