Control the projects' technical output at project level (e.g. innovation highlight, technical merits, Invention direction and topics, technical milestone and deliverables).

Establish for developing need-based innovation in connection with sustainable city technologies to provide solutions for China sustainable development requirements. Strategic collaboration with stakeholders enables it to establish close relations with the local government and stakeholders, and develop on-site platforms with end customers to develop business opportunities thru needs. The major innovative solutions for eco-city/smart city are including the areas of top-level design of smart city, smart green building, micro-grid, smart metering, green mobility for urbanization, smart manufactory planning.

Lead research programs in China for SMART innovation of Automation & Engineering, Sustainable Lifecycle Management, and TIP Sustainable Cities China.

Drive to develop technical solution and creative business model (e.g. EMC) with internal/external partners (including government/authority) for the sectors to promote Siemens total solution to key accounts （in the areas of infrastructure, building and industry) in China.

Build up local technical support and sales team for the new products of Field Bus System in China (including product management, customized solution development and technical support for pre and after sales). Set up WAGO Beijing Branch in 2003.
