Started this role as a Christmas Casual in 2023, really loved the role and made so many meaningful connections with the team of Mimco. Through this role, I have learned a lot about working in the retail industry, and how to foster good customer service to build customer loyalty.

Inspired by friends already working at McDonald's, I joined the team and was able to work alongside great co-workers and managers in providing top quality service to our customers both regular and new. Gained my Certificate 3 in Retail through RTO McDonald's Australia over the course of 18 months working as a part-time crew coach. Grateful to have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and learned a lot from all my team members.

Through The University of Western Australia's McCusker Centre for Citizenship program, I was able to intern at HALO and work alongside aged care professionals to help support the team. Over the course of 100hrs, I learnt a lot from the friendly and supportive team of what it's like to work in an office setting and the impact of good HR practises on staff, clients, client's family members, contractors and volunteers.
