He then quickly implemented the suggestions. He impressed me with his C++ programming skills as well as knowledge of algorithms. His implementation deals with hundreds of thousands of flow records per second. He was able to implement complex analysis logic in a scalable fashion. Based on our experience, we offered him an Internship at Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, where I am the Chief Technology Officer. The requirement of this project was multifold. Sohail was required to know the basics of the technology and simultaneously understand the product architecture. Sohail was instrumental in this project and greatly helped for the timely delivery of this feature. ⇨ Following this, we assigned him the task of yet another critical project in Software Defined Networking (SDN). The project was to develop an SDN Path Provisioning application which enabled users to add 'services' and 'subscribers' in REX. This project had to be developed in a shorter time frame and so we selected Sohail because he had proved himself to be a responsible developer. Sohail's efforts and the success of the SDN project in its deployment were recognised by everyone and he was awarded the "Way to go award" for the same. ⇨ Later, Sohail worked an a very important project of Traffic Explorer. This features helps the planning team of a Internet Service Provider, to analyse the current traffic peering relations with the upstream and the downstream Autonomous Systems (AS). Our decision to assign him this project was based on how steadfast and vigorous he had proved himself to be. This project was majorly lead by Sohail. This does depict the fact how Sohail had flourished as a developer within 2 years and became a very important for us. In my opinion, Sohail is very meticulous and produces high-quality work in timely fashion. In addition to being a good programmer, he is also very genial and easy to work with.
