Worked with a caseload of 13 families that I would meet with on a weekly basis in the KPT, Kalihi, Pearl City and Honolulu communities. Implemented in-home activities outlined on each individual client's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Assisted families influenced by domestic violence and homelessness.As a mandated CPS reporter, I learned how to screen for domestic violence, postpartum depression, and/or child abuse and neglect by administering the Relationship Assessment Tool, which is based upon the assessment of the development and validation of the Women’s Experience with Battering (WEB) scale. I also helped families to receive community resources and information, including food baskets and baby formula, affordable housing applications, employment opportunities (resume building and interview skill workshops), ESL classes, childhood development education, and enrollment of children in pre-school and elementary school.

I also completed the CPI "Nonviolent Crisis Intervention" training. With the help of my supervisor, I founded an American Sign Language (ASL) training workshop for Skills Trainers (STs) and Behavioral Instructional Support Services (BISSs) working with nonverbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASL is an important skill that helps to alleviate strained relationships and restore positive communication between nonverbal children and their primary caregivers and teachers.
