I moved to Perth in 2005 to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management at Notre Dame University in Fremantle. During my four years of study, I also played football with East Fremantle in the WAFL. In 2008, I was appointed East Fremantle's Development Officer, where I focused on promoting football in the local metropolitan district and coordinating the Talent Academy.At the end of 2008, I was drafted to North Melbourne in the AFL, where I played 58 games over six years, concluding my tenure at the end of 2014. While in Melbourne, I enhanced my professional experience by working at Tennis Australia for two years and completing an Advanced Diploma of Management.In 2015, I returned to Perth for the birth of my child, Oliver, and began working at the West Australian Football Commission midway through the year. Over 3.5 years, I worked in the Diversity and Community team, focusing on Indigenous and multicultural communities.In 2019, I started a new role at the Stephen Michael Foundation, where I developed and implemented programs to support youth facing complex challenges throughout WA. My responsibilities included setting up program rosters, coordinating day-to-day operations, building stakeholder relationships, and fostering long-lasting change for youth throughout WA. I led high school leadership and football programs in both metropolitan and regional schools, developed regional talent academies, and managed our annual program calendars.From January through March 2024, I served as the Acting CEO while our CEO was on sabbatical. This experience provided me with valuable insights into running a business and boosted my confidence in my business acumen. I developed a strong belief in my ability to manage people, budgets, and customer relationships effectively.
