I worked as an electrical craftsmen at SSI working on the Concast plant. Whilst there I have been entrusted to undertake and complete various jobs inclding:Fault finding on large cranesGeneral maintenence of 1000v circuit breakersLighting and sensor installation of lights and sensors in various switchrooms across the plant.Fault finding on Gega cutting machines ensuring they were back up and running quickly to reduce downtime whilst casting.Maintenence and fault finding on ladle and tundish cars 240v consumer board replacements Fault finding and repair of actuators

I was employed as an Electrical Craftsman at Sabic on Olefins 6. Whilst there I operated under the WRAP permit to work system on various work scopes including the following: Installing various lighting and small power across the site, glanding, terminating and testing of of steel wire armoured cablesReplacement of Sonpack flood lights, with the use of scaffoldingVisual inspections of lighting and small power for Fire permit checksGeneral installation of ladder rack and cable trayCompleting training and practising as a BanksmanThese general maintenance responsibilities were carried out in hazardous areas where I was required to wear hazardous area PPE including a full chemical suit, chemical rated boots and a battery powered half face mask.
