I lead the Multinational Network Team, since being appointed to this position I have overseen the development of the Global Network. Under my leadership this has grown significantly from providing a small ad hoc solution for QBE’s multinational customers to a fully operational Global Network working to strict service levels across multiple insurance products in more than 180 countries. My key responsibilities in this role:Develop relationships with Third Party Insurers to ensure QBE has access to key markets and provide a first-class service to our multinational customers. Negotiate and implement worldwide cooperation and reinsurance agreements with our global offices to deliver timely and consistent service to our multinational clientsProvide local market insurance information and knowledge to underwriters and enable QBE to construct tailored solutions to support our clients wherever they may be located.Support QBE’s Large and Corporate customer growth by offering a global risk management solution.

Manage the local offices in Asia Pac and Middle East, both QBE and Network Partner, ensuring country coverage, service delivery and relationship management of the Network.

My primary responsibility is to grow profitable RSA business with existing Global Specialty Lines client accounts and/or with new accounts, through defending & growing renewal business and creating new business opportunities. My role is also to build and maintain relationships within assigned client organisations to thoroughly understand their strategy, culture, personalities, customer base and decision making and ensure they fully understand RSA’s propositions and to develop, agree and maintain a yearly account plan for each of my allocated clients to achieve sales strategy and targets as well as manage the overall sales pipeline with these clients to ensure RSA achieves its annual sales targets.

I was responsible for maintaining and developing RSA's Global Insurance Network to ensure that global clients receive a worldwide and consistent service. My duties involved travelling to our Network offices and obtaining information about their company as well as providing them training on Underwriting and Claims processes. I also travel to countries where RSA do not have representation and meet and interview various companies with a view to appointing them as a Partner of RSA. I met regularly with our Network Partners in order to develop business through the Network, I interacted with Brokers and Clients both in the UK and overseas to deliver presentations and provide information about the Global Network to make them fully aware of RSA capability to service Global Programmes.A key component of my role was to sell the capability of the Global Network to Non RSA companies and I was responsible for integrating 3 major US Insurance companies to the Global Network and generating a significant fee income for RSA. I worked with these companies to help develop their portfolio of business by reviewing the products/classes that could be written on a global scale within their current book of business.Special Projects: Africa project – Following requests from Clients with exposures in Western and Central Africa for local policies I undertook a project to find and appoint Network Partners in this region. I personally was responsible for researching the market and companies available, Initiating contact and travelling to the region to interview each company to see if they would be suitable to become part of the Network. Once a suitable company had been found it was my responsibility to set in place cooperation agreements. I then proceeded to train each office on the Network Service Standards and processes to bring them in line with the service levels of the rest of the Network.

I handled complex global programmes involving multiple countries, various reinsurance arrangements and Captives. This role requires a proactive approach towards problem solving and demanded a close relationship between our overseas offices, Brokers and Clients.My duties involved technical servicing, processing underwriting queries, replying to queries all within tightly agreed timescales. I was involved with the issue of instructions to RSA’s global offices such as local policy cover, premium allocation and exposure information. Within this role I assisted with underwriting quotations as well as processed premiums, issued invoices, prepare terrorism quotations and created UK policy wordings.
