I'm a professional Violist with experience working in a variety of formats. I've appeared as Guest Principal Viola with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, and Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne. I have also performed with orchestras including BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Chamber music partners have included members of the Tokyo, St. Lawrence, New Hollywood, and Edinburgh Quartets, Violinists Anthony Marwood, and Noah Bendix-Balgley, Cellist Robert DeMaine and Pulitzer Prize-Winning Composer Caroline Shaw. I'm also a committed teacher who has experience working with students at many different levels, from beginners as a Teaching Fellow at the Colburn School, intermediate and advanced students as a Viola Tutor for the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, and working with students at Edinburgh Napier University. I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music, London where I studied with Johnathan Barritt, and the Colburn School in Los Angeles where I studied with Paul Coletti.
