Utilizing ArcGIS Pro to create mapping data bases and analyze spatial information. These resources will be used in the creation of management documents and references for contract service providers. This role involves coordinating and strategizing within the Sustain Group ArcGIS team and liaising with contractors to create tailored mapping solutions.

While working as an environmental consultant within the water team at AWN I was involved across projects spanning beyond water. I was regularly tasked with providing both on-site and remote support in project delivery within multiple stages of planning, permitting and operation.Conducting environmental impact assessments on sights eligible for development with a focus on Land & soils, hydrology, hydrogeology, waste and Human health. Implementing groundwater monitoring programs in a variety of settings. This involved scheduling and programming of works to be undertaken, data analysis, authoring key documents used to maintain compliance with industrial emissions licenses while maintaining client and sub-contractor relationships.Authoring key management documents including construction waste plans, construction environmental management plans, waste classification reports and monthly groundwater status reports for operational facilities.Contaminated land: Surface and groundwater sampling/ Soil sampling/ Infiltration rate testing/ Borehole drilling and well construction/ contaminated land and soil remediation.Practical jobs I’ve worked on in my time with AWN include groundwater well drilling and construction, soil infiltration testing, soil and groundwater sampling using multiple techniques and diesel spill remediation monitoring over the course of 2 months.Skills: ArcMap, ArcGis, Draftsight,

Engineering and Environmental consultancy.Monitoring environmental conditions present on the Birmingham Resilience Project.The project aims to deliver a new water supply into Birmingham to allow extended planned maintenance shutdowns of the Elan Valley Aqueduct and to strengthen the treatment processes at Frankley WTW.My responsibilities included managing the input of data from associated laboratories and Field operators, condensing it into monthly reports and flagging any breaches in water quality of effluent produced by the construction of a new pipeline. I applied MS Excel and MS Access experience to a professional standard while learning practices and procedures associated with the sector. Delighted to have gained this insight into the what goes on behind the scenes of a project such as this.

Assisted multidisciplinary research teams working on the HYDROFOR EPA-funded project, examining the effects of forest operations on water quality and sediment. Carried out laboratory-based tasks essential to the operation including the preparation of equipment used in the field, as well as the analysis, processing/cataloguing of samples post collection.Supported Earth Institute project examining the effects of small-scale hydropower installations on aquatic life in rivers.
