I am currently looking to further establish a career in the TV industry. I have gained a wide breadth of experience through several employment opportunities and my studies.During my time at Waterstones, I undertook several different positions where I gained many key skills. My main role as a Senior Bookseller positioned me on the shop floor as a point-of-contact for customer enquiries where I developed my interpersonal and communication skills - with both customers and colleagues. I became very adept in anticipating the needs of my Managers and would use my initiative to complete various tasks ranging from commerciality to store recovery. I took in pride in becoming a member of staff to be relied upon, it is very important to me to be more than simply just involved in day-to-day tasks, but a passionate component of any company I work for. My other roles with Waterstones saw me in two administrative support roles where I was expected to organise my own workloads and manage my time and priorities. As a Deputy Regional Commercial Manager, my responsibilities were to examine and interpret complex sales data and make important decisions based on my interpretations that would affect the company commercially and financially. To ensure the success of decisions, it was important to keep in close communication with members of staff at all levels of seniority and to keep up to date with current trends and news within the industry.
