Main Duties and Responsibilities:- I lead the development and delivery of the School's marketing, communication, and recruitment strategies, using data to inform decisions and creativity to increase the impact of messages conveyed to our varied audiences.- I am responsible for the effective leadership of the School's Marketing and Recruitment Team, ensuring the provision of a high quality, influential and integrated service that meets School objectives, including ambitious targets to attract and recruit high-quality students, whilst fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.- I am responsible for overseeing and contributing to all aspects of marketing and student recruitment within the School, including content creation for a variety of channels, proofreading and copy editing, writing briefs, supporting the delivery of physical and virtual events, and ensuring that the School's messages are appropriate for and understood by our varied audiences, across a wide range of channels.- I utilise marketing research and market intelligence to identify and prioritise recruitment activities and target areas, as well as providing recommendations and insights to the strategic management team.- I work with a range of external agencies to raise the profile of the Business School's brand through creative and professional marketing, including creative agencies (design, video and photography), digital advertising agencies, PR and radio advertising agencies. I have ensured that all work undertaken by external agencies meets the Business School and University's brand and values and adds value to the work that can be carried out internally by my team.

Responsibilities included:- Developing the University's profile in the North East of England through liaison with senior staff within schools and colleges. - Negotiation and planning of HE preparation programmes for schools and colleges with senior staff within schools and colleges.- Organisation of and participation in visits into the University from schools, colleges and community groups.- Advising academics and other staff involved with admissions on recruitment strategies for their courses, also dissemination of information on trends in 11 to 16 and post 16 education and current issues affecting HE, through the Admissions and Recruitment Forum which is organised by the Service.- Visiting schools and colleges to deliver presentations and lead workshops for school and college students, Access Course students, teachers, careers advisers, parents and other influencers.- Representing and promoting the University at local and national HE exhibitions advising individuals on the whole of the University's portfolio.- Developing and maintaining up to date knowledge of the University's portfolio, entry requirements and developments affecting post 16 and higher education.
