Skillsets gained from repairing hydraulic hammers small to massive for six years: -reading, understanding, and internalizing maintenance/operations manuals and assembly diagrams-creating and writing detailed repair documents for internal use and records-conceiving, designing, and making tools, tooling, and work-holding for niche applications-inspecting components for damage and assessing the chance of saving/repairing the part, including nondestructive dye penetrant testing-charging Nitrogen accumulators up to 1000psi-highly skilled at installing helicoils (threaded inserts) from 12mm to 50mm diameter and building tools to aid in their installation-freezing bushings with diameters of 3”-12” for shrink fitting-torquing components from 60 to 5,000+ ft/lbs-replacing hydraulic seals of all manner and removing foreign matter from tight passages-operating both a Bridgeport style 3hp knee mill and a 20” x 79” manual engine lathe-operating both 1ton & 10ton overhead cranes-MIG welding steel from ½” to 1-½”-forklift certified for class IV with the past five years of my work experience involving brief but daily forklift usage with a need for control and precision positioning-communicating with customers out in the field or in their own repair shops facing difficulties

Assess customer bikes for worn/broken/components out of adjustment and make recommendations on which tune up package and components are needed to return the bike to being fully functional; repair and tune bicycles brought in for service and troubleshoot any unexpected issues; build and tune new bikes from their packaged state for sale in the store; coordinate the replacement of components sold either directly to the customer or as part of a repair; working together with the service manager kept the turnaround time for repairs to less than three days for the majority of customers throughout the busy season.

My primary responsibility is to interact with customers and help them find the type and style of bike that best matches with their goals and intentions for how and where they ride. To meet the needs of the customer I need to check what we have available as well as what we have in non display stock, and depending on our inventory sometimes place a special order with our distributors and suppliers. Secondary responsibilities include restocking sold products with stock inventory, keeping the sales floor organized and clear of clutter, and packing up items for shipment to customers.Tertiary responsibilities include building bikes for stock and for customers, snow removal, and product ordering.

In my three years as a work study machinist I assisted with the design, machining, and assembly of custom projects for professors, maintenance crews, and graduate students. Myself and my supervisor, Joel Norton, regularly carried concepts from simple sketches to a finished product, often having to meet very specific tolerances in order for the component we were machining to fit into an existing unit, or to be part of a larger custom assembly. To accomplish this, I often used the following, mig welder, bandsaw, milling machine, lathe, plasma cutter, sandblaster, die grinder, calipers, taps, files, and my imagination.

Beginning my sophomore year of high school, I worked at Kroger 12 hours a week during the school year, and full time during the summers. I stocked and arranged the produce displays while simultaneously providing customer service to customers in the produce department. Additionally I often bagged customer's purchases when there was a need for extra baggers, most commonly when there was a football game going on in town.
