My primary role is to support and contribute to IT Services. The intent of this internship was to help me develop better understanding of specific areas of IT Services in the Universityand effectively contribute to IT service delivery, projects and programmes as required.General Accountabilities include:• Contribute to the provision of effective, reliable IT services. Contribute to diagnosis andresolution of issues, referring to specialist teams where appropriate. Assist and respond to clients, ensuring requirements are understood and followed up.• Provide effective, reliable plain language advice and recommendations in a manner easilyinterpreted by clients. Work collaboratively with ITS and AskOtago colleagues to deliverservice that provide an outstanding customer experience.• Write "clean", clear, efficient, maintainable and (where applicable) reusable scripts andcode in accordance with specifications. Maintain appropriate documentation.

• In this role I had a direct impact on the management and asset entry of devices across the University.• I helped improve internal development of an extensive database by providing direct feedback to managers and suggesting improvements. • I also had the opportunity to have interactions with staff from various departments and facilitated communication between teams to get a better understanding of asset management needs.

At my position at Pathlab, I had to organize and replace chemicals and other materials within the Histology and Cytology sectors of the lab also helped with filling of samples and general paperwork. Also helped to sanitize workstations and transport waste for proper disposal.
