As a student researcher in Dr. D'Aiuto's psychiatry lab, I perform a variety of benchwork roles in addition to spearheading a project to commercialize a novel antiviral. As the Wayne Bank was trying to adjust to new pressures from the Coronavirus, I was brought in to help bear some of the excess workload brought upon the Commercial Loans Department. I aided the department in many tasks, including file organization, legal paperwork, financial reporting, and SBA PPP processing. My roles allowed me to exercise my proficiency in excel and word as well as my adaptability to new softwares and processes. Additionally, I gained great experience observing the management strategies of executives during the tumultuous times.
