My professional interests include studying organic chemistry, with a focus on research in asymmetric syntheses, medicinal chemistry, and synthetic organic chemistry. I am a member of Pat Guiry’s research group, which focuses on synthetic organic chemistry, with expertise in both the development of asymmetric synthetic methodology through the design and application of new chiral ligands and in the total synthesis of compounds of biological interest.My current research focuses on the design and synthesis of a family of stable lipoxin A4 analogues for the resolution of inflammation. My key skills include the asymmetric synthesis of biologically important molecules and the subsequent structural identification of compounds synthesised through the application of modern spectroscopic and analytical techniques.
