I am a Red Seal carpenter/foreman in the Sea to Sky corridor. Even though I just received my ticket Red Seal, it doesn't mean I know everything in this trade. Carpentry is huge and it is still just the beginning of a long and exciting career. Being in such a multifaceted industry that has limitless possibilities and is one of the reasons I got into it in the first place. There's just so much to know! I have struggled with trying to learn everything all at once to fast track the process but have now learned to calm down and just master one skill at a time and to enjoy it as it comes. I still am a bit of a nerd and listen to construction podcasts on my commute and finding tips on the web after work.For me, I take pride in my work and want clients to be excited about what they paid for. I believe in making a high quality product in the materials selected and cannot work for someone who just wants to slap something up and get out with a cheque.Working for RDC Fine Homes has increased my knowledge of building beautiful high efficient homes.
