Worked in a full-time role as an Import Operator at Uniserve. Working closely in a well-functioning team bringing in consignments of varying sizes and goods with various degrees of urgency from disparate global sites.I worked with companies from small start-up businesses, to major household brands, to import shipments mainly from China and the Asian subcontinent to the UK, using custom software and Microsoft Excel to track shipment progress. Once the shipments arrived in the UK, I looked after delivery of the shipments from our depot to the client warehouses was facilitated quickly and efficiently to ensure clients were satisfied, from creating the delivery manifests and arranging transport, right up to ensuring delivery was completed and sending proof of delivery to the client.First experience of working under pressure, as certain clients needed shipments urgently due to the time of year and their changing requirements.
