Formally trained in Industrial Relations, Labor Law and later Process Engineering, I played a key role in the development and launch of what was at the time was an iconic cell phone known as the Motorola Star Tac. In 1995 I was appointed to the board of the DBT Groupe as their Director of New Acquisitions and Strategic Alliance. DBT Groupe is a publically traded Graphic and Capital Equipment producer based out of Paris, France. After years of travel and company rehabilitations I decided in 2001 that Boston would be my final stop before returning back to Ireland. Whilst in Boston I served as Managing Director of Teca-Print USA, a Swiss owned corporation with manufacturing and distribution locations across the globe. During this time I also served on the board of Machines Dubuit as their Acting Managing Director, located in Chicago Illinois.I never made back to Ireland, instead opting in 2007 to acquire Teca-Print USA from its parent company. I have enjoyed tremendous commercial success with this business and subsequently established equally successful subcontract divisions within what is now known as The Clancy Group. The Clancy Group today consists of 5 companies. The organization is a diverse group crossing many disciplines including manufacturing, subcontract services and real estate. The success I have had now affords me the opportunity to make philanthropy a key consideration for any new endeavor.
