Currently hold an RFU level 2 coaching qualification and have 7 years rugby union coaching experience across a multitude of areas, ages and institutions. Most notably having taken on the role of 2nd/3rd team coach at Leeds Beckett University throughout the 23/24 season where I worked closely with the full time coaching staff at the University. Also a former junior coach at Doncaster a knights and Moortown RUFC. Played rugby union for my University throughout my first and second year before beginning coaching. Former member of the Doncaster Knights Academy (16-18) and currently an active rugby union player/coach. I have also worked as a multi sports coach for both Active Fusion and PE partner. 2 sport development charities specialising in the provision of sport and physical activity for children and young people. Began working in this sector from a young age and, to date, have 4 years experience as a lead coach. Have recently completed an undergraduate degree in Sport Development at Leeds Beckett University, I have become adept in multiple fields over the last 3 years. Key focus areas I have covered include strategic management, community development, and sociology of sport. I have a keen interest in both the development of sport amongst disengaged audiences, specifically within rugby union. Have recently worked with the RFU in the delivery of their Touch to Twickenham programme. This programme aimed to engage young people, both players and non-players, into rugby union via their new touch rugby format. During my time with the RFU I gained a valuable insight into events management, the inner workings of a national scale project, as well as insights into this sector from multiple partnerships across the North of England.
