Providing EHS support for the manufacturing and commissioning of upgraded tube trains for Transport for London, initially renewing the Piccadilly line.Role includes:- Mobilisation of the manufacturing site, including onboarding of 700 staff, ensuring the safe factory fit-out and development of the EHS management system prior to start of production.- Developing and maintaining a positive safety culture on-site, playing a coaching role for staff, contractors and visitors on EHS matters.- Assuring all business operations are in compliance with statutory health, safety and environmental legislation.- Implementation of EHS systems and technologies to drive performance.- Delivery of EHS inductions and presenting during training sessions/workshops.- Facilitating and reviewing risk assessments for all hazardous business operations. - Leading investigations to identify root causes. - Supporting on governing standards auditing to ISO 45001/14001/9001 standards. - Monitoring compliance to meet internal control procedures and taking appropriate corrective action utilising the hierarchy of control.- Engaging with all stakeholders to ensure environmentally sustainable business operations.

Degree apprenticeship within the EHS department of Siemens Mobility’s, Rolling Stock business unit. The apprenticeship was in partnership with Portsmouth University, where I undertook a part-time MSc in Risk and Safety Leadership alongside my workplace duties. The apprenticeship included supporting several train maintenance depots in achieving EHS excellence as well as the mobilisation of the Siemens Goole Train Manufacturing site.

Learning the fundamentals of delivering high quality customer service is a key skill I learned during my time at the Cwtch Cafe. I have used this foundational experience to underpin my positive attitude as a young professional.

My primary role was to support the school’s outdoor learning programme, in which pupils embarked on a month long outdoor camp in the New Zealand wilderness. The aim of this was to challenge pupils in different outdoor scenarios and equip them with a range of transferable soft-skills and behaviours including leadership, mental resilience, teamwork and communication.When on campus, my duties included general administration, teaching assistance and coaching the school’s sports teams.
