The project has been awarded a RIBA Award 2016.For the University of Cambridge Primary School, alongside the Project Architect, I was design lead for space planning, interiors and for much of the external envelope. I worked on the project from detail design stage through to completion. The project was awarded a Cambridge Design Award 2016.Latterly I was heavily involved in the Cambridge Mosque project, leading the internal packages and several of the external envelope packages before taking over as Project Architect. I worked on the project from detailed design until start-on-site. In my first role on completing my Masters, as a Part II Architectural Assistant at CDMS I was lucky to be given a large level of responsibility in job running and dealing independently with clients, contractors and other consultants.The key project in my time there was a 210-bed student hall refurbishment at Kings College in London Bridge, where I was design lead and coordinated the design and construction with client, external consultants and with the contractor on-site.I also… Show more In my first role on completing my Masters, as a Part II Architectural Assistant at CDMS I was lucky to be given a large level of responsibility in job running and dealing independently with clients, contractors and other consultants.The key project in my time there was a 210-bed student hall refurbishment at Kings College in London Bridge, where I was design lead and coordinated the design and construction with client, external consultants and with the contractor on-site.I also led the design for two projects from concept stages, for an extension to an art gallery in a listed church building, and the refurbishment of a listed office building into a language school, both of which were in conservation areas.My time at CDMS gave me a wide insight into nearly all aspects of practice management and leading projects. As a part I Architectural Assistant, I had a great year working with Space in Leeds on live healthcare projects including the refurbishment of Leeds Teaching Hospitals. This project, phased over several years with a cost of hundreds of millions of pounds, was a fantastic learning curve, where I was able to coordinate designs with end-users, gain valuable site-experience and build up good knowledge of 3D design.

A high-quality small scale residential practice, where I gained much valuable experience in early stage design and dealing with clients and contractors.Operating as a sole-practitioner when I first joined the firm during my second year at university, I was able to contribute to a much greater extent than would have been possible at a larger firm, and consequently gained a great level of experience that has stood me in good stead ever since.
