I have a Phd in Physics and Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glasgow.Currently I am a full time Research Fellow in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Glasgow. My current position has a 50:50 split between two roles on the ATLAS Project at CERN.I am the Project Officer for the ATLAS Upgrade UK project. This is an ongoing series of projects which has totalled over £50M in project funding with the total project value of nearly £100M to date. The project covers 14 UK Universities and STFC’s Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). My duties include financial monitoring and reporting to STFC/ UKRI and interactions with ATLAS finance. In this role I am responsible for tracking annual spend and reporting to the twice yearly Oversight Committee (OsC) meetings as well as working on procurement for the whole UK project.I am also a senior development engineer/ physicist working on the Pixel Detector of the ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITk). This is the new Si tracker detector due to be installed in ATLAS as part of the upgrade to HL-LHC. I have extensive knowledge of Solidworks CAD and ANSYS FEA software which are used for design and analysis of critical parts of the detector. In this role I am responsible for design, procurement and testing of many aspects of Glasgow and the UK's commitments to ITk Pixel project
