To manage the provision of a head office based team to improve the service, we as a company provide our Risk Managements Surveyors, enabling them to maximise the time they spend on site, driving our Zero Claims mission statement and culture, to minimise the risk on behalf of our insurers. This involves working closely with the Regional Directors and Managing Director of MD Inspection Services and improving relationships between internal departments to bring our second to none customer service levels experineced by our external clients, in line for our internal clients by monitoring and analyising business data through various forms, interpreting and acting upon it in SMART objectives to achieve process improvement.

Aiding the regional manager in creating an atmosphere where the Risk Management Team provides excellent customer care and zero claims on behalf of our Insurers, while adhering to the techical standards in our technical manual, british standards and approved documents. Direct line manager to Graduate Surveyors and Building Inspectors within our team.

North West

I actively manage the construction based risk of a portfolio of 100 active sites, containing over 2200 housing units, new build, refurbishment dwellings and commercial properties on behalf of our insurers in line with the standards set out in our technical manual and the approved documents of building regulations. This takes alot of diary and time management skills and the ability to actively communicate and liase with not only external customers but internal customers across a range of departments with varying technical knowledge. I have an active CPD management process in place to keep my techincal knowledge developing in line with our industry that is forever changing with innovative construction design, materials and workmanship.I am also involved in an internal company workshop for improving the role of a risk management surveyor, both on site and how we capture data for our customers through handheld IT devices. Aiding in the software design, practicality of use and data capturing on site in producing detailed and professional reports, relating to our technical manual, British Standards and Approved documents with photographic evidence to create a USP brand of reporting.- CII FIIT - RICS accredditation ongoing- CIOB accreditation - ABE accreditation

Provide managerial support to the area manager and cover when needed, along with actively managing a group of graduates and inspectors within my regional team, while continuing to manage the risk of a smaller construction portfolio and workload. Offering a head office technical point of contact to colleagues and external enquiries, as well as involvement in business innovation and technology.

I used my technical knowledge to meet clients needs in coming to the most cost effective building design in order to satisfy Building regs part L in SAP and Code For Sustainable Homes, while using the current technology in place to effectively assess the environmental impact of the construction, in both a natural and social context.- Code for Sustainable Homes - Stroma Accredited - SAP and EPCs (Building Regulations Part L Compliance) - Stroma Accredited
