Hi I'm Liam ,33 *I'm was an apprentice scaffolder which I enjoyed and take alot of pride in what I've learnt so far. sadly the company has gone bust so looking to see what's next.I was fortunate to have worked at gkn, with morson aerospace as a subcontractor for 5 years.and then taken on by gkn, in my role at gkn I would do various jobs from cleaning the parts to part marking them according to the ABP's (airbus procedures).and using FIFO (first in first out) and correctly recorded on sap.Reading the drawings ,Pressure testing of the hydraulic pipes,de- burr, paint shop, coppersmiths, pressshop, I feel that I learnt so much in my time there and felt appreciated for the work I did.I left there after 10 years looking for something else so I took voluntary redundancy and started working at a scaffolding yard sorting out kit and loading /unloading the lorrys. I got my cisrs card to allow me on site as a scaffold trainee, within a year I was out on the tools learning everything from new.tbcAt 15 i started working weekends at a local garage and became full time when I finished school. I worked there fir three years until I moved back to Bristol to live with my grandad.we got along well and I was working after a few months at currys/argos warehouse. working nights loading trailers and picking orders.
