Currently, I serve as an Operations Manager at Swantest, a division of Swanton Consulting under the Erith Group. Swantest specializes in providing expert solutions for complex projects.With over 15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, I have worked with major contractors such as Carillion, Alfred McAlpine, and Readie Construction.My career began at Alfred McAlpine as a Trainee Site Engineer on the Great Notley Bypass project in Great Leighs. This project involved upgrading a single carriageway to a dual carriageway, including the construction of three roundabouts and a subway extension.I then advanced to the role of Assistant Site Engineer with Carillion/Sky Blue Solutions on the Abberton Reservoir project, located south of Colchester and owned by Essex and Suffolk Water (Northumbrian Water Ltd). The project's objective was to increase the reservoir's capacity by 60%, from 25 to 40 billion litres. The work involved installing a large bore steel pipeline to the existing water works, constructing a pumping station, 15 km of perimeter road, major earthworks, and various reinforced concrete structures. As the site is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSI), significant consideration was given to environmental and wildlife impacts during construction.I later took on the role of Site Engineer at Readie Construction, where I was based in Aylesford, Kent.
