AFLCMC/HBM - PEO Digital, Mission Planning Systems FMS- Tactfully manages and supervises a FM functional team of six civilians (including three trainees) and two contractors while overseeing budget execution for the Air Force Materiel Command’s Mission Planning Systems' Foreign Military Sales Branch ($380M portfolio) in support of its thirty‐nine foreign partner nations, enhancing coalition support across the globe.- Collects, analyzes, and prepares financial data to brief branch and division leadership at internal financial and acquisition reviews, as well as directorate‐level baseline execution reviews, to communicate budget execution status to the SES‐level Program Executive Officer (PEO), as well as support staff and the Mission Planning Division’s Senior Materiel Leader (O‐6 level).- Regularly gathers, synthesizes, and evaluates branch portfolio financial data for response to higher headquarter‐directed taskings.- Consistently researches and interprets financial policies, guidance, laws, and regulations to make recommendations for branch leadership to ensure efficient and proper use of programmed and budgeted funds.- Frequently develops and deploys branch FM process improvements to address pre‐existing and emergent inefficiencies.

Independently performs a variety of budget, cost analysis, and financial analysis studies and projects concerned with the financial aspects of programs and support activities funded through multiple appropriations across multiple fiscal years, requiring analytical, judgment, procedural, and technical skills. Identifies, reviews, and evaluates new and modified budgetary and financial policies and regulations for impact on the accomplishment of program objectives. Compiles pertinent financial and operational data from records, historical files, and related reports for use in analysis of problems, issues, and concerns. Reviews data for consistency, accuracy, validity, and relevance to the situation being studied. Analyzes changes in program plans and funding and reports and advises on their impact on financial and budget program milestones.Identifies and analyzes financial and economic trends, and recommends adjustments in program spending of the level that will result in the rescheduling of program workloads. Presents the results of the studies both in written form and formal and informal briefings. Identifies and describes critical assumptions and decision points for decision-makers.Prepares and assembles information in support of formal presentations of budget requests and review to be made before OMB and/or Congressional committees. Routinely reviews historical data thoroughly and adjusts for current application to determine spending trends and forecast annual funding needs.

Trained to assist the Director of Finance and Hotel Controller by processing invoices on the PeopleSoft accounts payable online system, updating currency exchange rates on our Opera hotel management system, monitoring cash flows between hotel departments and bank, notifying vendors for insurance renewals via indemnity letters, analyzing cost variance between in-house operations and comparable vendor operations, and monitoring valet operations to avoid inaccurate costs.
