Primary purpose of the role is to ensure the business is supported by best in class strategic, finance and commercial decision support on areas such as Strategic Planning, Projects, Market Analysis and M&A activity.

This is a multi-faceted role involving; Month-end close; Forecasting and Budgeting and Decision Support for the Networks Business unit, such as Investment Appraisals, Business Casing, and Company Valuations.

Telecom were recently regulated by NZ Government, resulting in the requirement to prepare regulatory accounts by business unit for the first time. The requirements for 2010 were even more onerous as product statements were required. My role was geared towards the product requirements in FY10 and was primarily focused on the internal product trading (established under Operational Separation) and determine if sufficient information was available to comply with Accouting Separation.This involved strong cross-functional workings with other areas of the business and developing relationships quickly. It involved investigation of the accounting system (SAP), billing and other systems to determine what information was available and provide recommendations to mitigate any gaps.

Member of the TICE (Technology, Information, Communications and Entertainment) division in PwC Ireland. Gained exposure to wide-range of industries such as Telecoms, Technology, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG and conducted audits in accordance with Irish and UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
