Buchan Alpha Rig, Offshore North Sea

Responding to, identify, diagnosis and solving instrument breakdowns. General maintenance on fire, gas and smoke detection transmitters.

Conoco Phillips Jasmine Project, Judy Riser Platform

Responsibilities include: Commissioning instrument loops back to ABB System 800xA control system. Cold and hot loop testing. Completing instrument test reports also completing as built drawings and redlining changes that are required.

I am a member of a multi-skilled maintenance team responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of a multi-fuelled Power Station. Responsibilities include: Responding to, identify, diagnosis and solving instrument breakdowns, performing ESD, SIF and SIL tests, planned maintenance of all plant instrumentation, commissioning of new instrument systems and completion of relevant test records. Plants worked on includes; multi gas fuelled boilers, steam generation plant to provide steam power for the turbo-blowers, water treatment plant, electro-chlorination plant and cooling water pump house. Equipment worked on includes; a wide range of analysers such as continuous emissions monitoring system, dissolved oxygen meter, chlorine analyser also I have been testing and maintaining burner management, PLC, DCS, SCADA systems and hydrogen/carbon monoxide gas detection systems.Between Sept 2011- April 2012 I worked as part of a re-commissioning team restarting specific parts of Redcar Power Station. During this time I removed and installed gas detectors, pressure, flow and temperature transmitters and performed full loop checks back to the relevant control rooms.
