I have career aspirations in the areas of data science, research, engineering, and quantum computing. I am a passionate and enthusiastic Mathematics and Science student at the University of Newcastle, majoring in Pure and Applied Mathematics and Physics.I have valuable teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills from my career in retail at Coles Group. In this role, I am required to work cohesively with fellow team members to ensure quality service is provided to all customers and to keep the store running smoothly and efficiently. Due to my success in this area, I have been awarded higher tasks such as opening/closing the store independently, supervising the service department and training new team members.As a private tutor for HSC students and younger high school students, I was able to utilise my communication and interpersonal skills whilst honing my teaching, mentoring, and organisational skills. Through tutoring, students saw improvement in grades and academic performance, as well as their confidence and attitude towards learning.Outside of work and study, I enjoy learning and developing my knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Javascript and C. I also enjoy reading, both fiction and non-fiction, lifting weights at the gym, videogames, and spending time with my friends and family.I am a hardworking individual, with a strong work ethic and a love of learning and trying new things. I am excited to see where my current studies will take me and am actively seeking new opportunities with an open mind and a positive attitude.
