Dealing directly with the key decision makers and the company owner to deliver change and improvement. During my time at the company I have progressed Internal Audit to include reviews focused on strategic risks, process improvement and acting as an advisor for strategic planning. I prepared, presented and implemented the first annual internal audit plan and an internal audit strategy, complimented by a set of KPIs to measure performance. I prepare and present monthly reports to Audit Committee and have regular interactions with members of the board to discuss progress on the strategy, any developing risks and areas requiring support. I work closely with Directors and Senior Management to provide insight into operational issues and provide strategic and pragmatic solutions to the problems, liaising with business specialists to implement system and process changes for the benefit of the business.As part of this role I have been involved in operational projects across multiple areas of the company, meeting with Senior Managers and Directors to design efficient and effective processes meeting the needs of all stakeholders. I have been involved in improving the processes of the purchase to pay cycle, human resources and recruitment, daily finance tasks and management information. My current projects include: IT programme and project management process, strategy for people performance management, review of data quality and security, financial planning and budgeting process and analysis of the market segment mix. In addition, I have an active role on the project teams for the new procurement system and the new till system.I have led business critical project on payroll cost conversion. This involved looking at the cost drivers and identifying process and report improvements, and areas of savings and efficiency. Recommendations were presented back to the board and implemented through discussion with local management and utilising the skills of central functions.
