A highly experienced senior executive in the golf and hospitality industry with proven ability to manage various and often complex business and delivery models. Originally from Dunblane, Scotland, my career began as a PGA Professional joining the Emirates GC, Dubai at its opening, before taking up Head Professional and Director of Golf roles in the UK then into operational management with Premier Golf Developments Ltd and the Professional Golfers' Association as Manager of its South Region. Achieving significant success in that role, I was appointed PGA Director of Regions with responsibility for the PGA's eight regional operations achieving record results before becoming the PGA’s Executive Director – Commercial. Instrumental in the PGA’s rebrand, redefining values and culture, on-boarding the organisations 8,000 members and infrastructure was highly rewarding as was re-engineering the company’s commercial strategy for partners, sponsors, education, consumer engagement and brand licencing for PGA Properties. Having built up significant contacts across the globe and forged enduring relationships with leaders of stakeholder organisations such as the R&A, PGA of America, European and PGA Tours and more broadly with business leaders, operators and investors. I have enjoyed some phenomenal experiences from working on Ryder Cups, attending The Masters and Open Championships in official capacity, to doing business and working with so many brilliant people across the world. My approach to work has always been ‘how can I help?’. I am open minded and have a passion for discovering new opportunities and innovative solutions for clients, staff and consumers and have worked with numerous agencies to develop strategies that exceed expectations, achieving financial success and enhancing environmental performance.
