After gaining four years experience working in contract/project management for two of Australia's leading fit-out companies, Shape Australia and Buildcorp, I have now been working for ZÜBLIN Denmark as a project manager for four years. The experience that I gained working for two of Australia's leading construction companies, has given me invaluable experience in all aspects of the construction industry, primarily in contract/project management. Although most of the experience that I gained was based on fit-out projects, I have found that my skills in site management, project/contract management, cost controlling, estimating and planning & scheduling, has been directly transferable to my new path, working in construction for ZÜBLIN. I have thoroughly enjoyed tackling new challenges with ZÜBLIN in the Danish market. I have been fortunate enough to work on three iconic projects in Copenhagen, the Blox Projet & the Carlsberg BA2 & BA9 tower projects. On top of having the opportunity to apply my skills & develop new skills in project/contract management, I have worked on projects where there are multiple languages and cultures influencing the project, as well as learning the Danish language. Working on projects with different languages has added many exciting challenges surrounding communication, which has been very difficult, yet rewarding to overcome. On top of the skills and experience that I have gained working for these three exciting & successful construction companies, I have also been fortunate to have worked with Eastwood Harris (EH) Pty Ltd, a specialised time scheduling company. At EH, I have gained expertise in a number of different planning/scheduling software and time scheduling methodologies, that has been incredibly valuable in my construction career.
