As a team, we are responsible for targeting serious, organised and systemic Welfare Fraud. I am also responsible for building the capacity of other analysts as well as overseeing the creation of intelligence products and directing information dissemination. In addition, I initiate and cultivate productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the timely dissemination of accurate and actionable intelligence. My notable achievements in this role have included the following:• Successfully developed and led a multi-agency intelligence team that targeted offenders using social media to orchestrate wide scale financial fraud.• Identified a key weakness in the Taskforce Integrity Intelligence Group's receipt of information, and successfully drafted and implemented a more streamlined process. Partnering with real-time fraud detection programs, I investigated and prevented fraudulent activity against the Agency and its customers. This further involved collating customer information, conducting data analysis and preparing a timely critical analysis on suspicious activity before making referrals to appropriate internal or external teams. I also notified clients directly of fraud victimisation and performed remediation.

In collaboration with a team, I conducted employment and income reviews of clients of the Australian Welfare Service to ensure departmental and client integrity. I spoke and engaged with clients on the phone regarding their Centrelink accounts, ensuring that they were aware of their reporting requirements and supporting them to be compliant.
