Description of Duties:Completing runs and providing care – maintaining constant communication with thedispatch, my partner, the patient, and hospital staff to make sure the patient is well takencare of within my scope of practice. Vehicle checkouts – ensuring the BLS truck I’m working in has functioning lights, sirens,and appropriate fluid levels, that the truck has all necessary equipment, medications thatare in date, and the paperwork that may be needed throughout the shift is present.

When I'm able, I help teach CPR courses through Safety First and Temple University Emergency Medical Services. CPR is a simple lifesaving skill that everyone should know!

The Elrod Lab of Molecular Medicine is located in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine's Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center. Research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of disease, with the goal being to discover therapies for the treatment of heart disease and neruodegeneration.
